Shropshire singers to join musical stars on the Proms and Prosecco in the Park stage this year.

Proms and Prosecco in the Park is back for a third year and our local acts join an incredible line up of performers this year.

We know that all ages will just love the nostalgia-tinged Swing music of The Ronnies, who evoke the style of Bing Crosby and the Andrews sisters.

Every year, choirs are one of the most popular acts at the event and we are sure there will be no exception this year with the Darby Singers who will provide an appealing mix of pop and choral music which will appeal to all generations.

The Blackwell Concert Band will be delighting the audience with an amazing, eclectic repertoire, ranging from to jazz, movies, pop and rock.

Headlining this year is west end musical superstar Jon Moses who was a finalist in ITV’s Superstar. Joining Jon is Classical Reflection, identical twins with heavenly voices who shot to fame after their appearance on The Voice in 2016. Grazia Strings will be performing as a string quartet with a set list covering The Verve to Vivaldi! Saxophonist Dom Childs will be joined by international pianist Simon Callaghan and our hosts for the event will be BBC Radio Shropshire’s Paul Shuttleworth and Ryan Kennedy.

And, if that’s not enough, the event culminates with a Last Night of the Proms finale, with lots of audience participation and flag waving!

We’ve worked really hard to create a musical line up that really does have something for all generations and all musical tastes! Its certainly not just classical!

Add to this, bars, street food stalls, children’s activities, the chance to bring your own drinks and picnics, a covered bar area, pre-errected gazebos available to hire, VIP ticket options, free tickets for under 10’s and a free glass of Aperol Spritz for all ticket holders (over 18’s only) and we think it’s the perfect recipe for a fabulous occasion with all the family!
