Battle of Britain Proms

Saturday 12 September 2020 - RAF Museum, Cosford

We’re delighted to be partnering with Cosford’s Royal Airforce Museum this year, for a very special Proms event to mark 80 years since the Battle of Britain.

Battle of Britain Proms takes place on Saturday 12th September in the grounds of the RAF Museum, Cosford and will form part of the Battle of Britain 80 commemoration events taking place around the UK.

The Battle of Britain Proms will be hosted by BBC Radio Shropshire’s Paul Shuttleworth and will be a very special afternoon and evening, filled with six hours of fabulous music, reminiscent of a night at the Proms. As with all of our Proms events, it will be a festival of music, food and fizz, featuring some of the best talent from across the UK, supported by local acts and culminating with a rousing Last Night of the Proms style finale.

Once again with music from Beyoncé to Beethoven, and Elgar to Elvis, we will have something for all ages and musical tastes. So, settle in and lay out a picnic blanket, or set the scene with table, chairs and of course union jack bunting!

Tickets include access to the RAF museum, as well as free parking, free activities for children, 6 hours of live music, delicious street food options and even a Prosecco plane!

Tickets are available to purchase via the RAF Museum website. Under 5’s go free and advance tickets are just £25 per adult or £5 per child. Advance tickets are available until 30th April.

To find out more and to book, visit the RAF Museum website.

We look forward to seeing you at the Battle of Britain Proms!

Feedback from Proms & Prosecco in the Park 2017 and 2018

“Just wanted to congratulate you and thank you for such a great evening at Chetwynd Deer Park on Saturday. A good time was had by all!”

“We look forward to next year, but will try harder with our picnic, compared with others ours was very lack lustre!”

It was a great event, lovely atmosphere, great mix of vendors and thoroughly enjoyed.”

Loved it, loved it, loved it! Thank you!

“It was brilliant, lots of young children with families, all ages sharing the experience. In a spectacular setting surrounded by ancient woodlands and lake. A swathe of red white and blue flags, folding tables and chairs, food, candelabras, lanterns and fairy lights, some people wearing bow ties and suits or flowing dresses most like us in wellies and ponchos. An arena of happy smiling faces, the finale a joyous crescendo. Well done Fizz!
